In 1972 gambling was on the horizon for Atlantic City. Joey “The Gimp” Giampietro from Philadelphia and Johnny Bellino from New York have plans – big plans. Bellino’s plan was simple the Gimp made it complex. Attempting to settle old scores first, the Gimp’s method of duplicity and contrivance unravels as it snakes its way through the bustling streets of South Philadelphia. It forces everyone in its path to seek resolution in the labyrinth of his or her conflicted lives. Some find sorrow and pain. Others find hope and love. A few find tragic death. The lucky ones get another chance.

Don Ron Books (donronbooks.com) is putting together an anthology of short stories set in South Philadelphia. I would love it if you would submit a story or two from Another Chance for consideration in our collection.
Don Ron Books previously published Philly Fiction (2006: 3,000 sold) and Philly Fiction 2 (2009: 1,200 sold). The books were heavily promoted, with reviews in the Inquirer, Philly Mag, the City Paper, and elsewhere. Philly Fiction 2 recently featured on a WXPN radioshow. Publication in South Philly Fiction would undoubtedly bring more publicity to your collection and work in general. We would also pay $20 for each story we republished.
